Welcome to BSLN Tennis (the “Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights in relation to that information.

a. Information you provide directly: When you create an account, sign up, or contact support, you may provide personal information such as your name, email address, and any other information you choose to submit.

b. Information collected automatically: Public site: our public-facing website uses Vercel Analytics to collect technical and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps.
Private dashboard: when you use the private dashboard (account area) we store account data on our backend (Supabase), which may include your username, email, and any profile or account data you provide.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate and provide the Service, including account creation, authentication, and access to your dashboard.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, support, or security.
• To monitor and improve the Service.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.

3. Text Message (SMS) Communications

BSLN Tennis may offer text message (SMS) notifications and alerts as part of our service, such as match updates, ladder activity, scheduling notifications, or account-related messages.

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages from BSLN Tennis. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.

We use Twilio, a third-party communications platform, to send and manage SMS messages. When you opt in to receive text messages, your phone number and message-related data are securely shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering these communications.

Twilio processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy and security practices. We do not sell or rent your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes.

You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us, or
• Updating your notification preferences within your BSLN account

After opting out, you may still receive essential service-related communications through other channels, such as email.

Data Retention

We retain SMS-related data only as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to host and operate the Service. Currently, account and dashboard data are stored using Supabase. If we add analytics or other third-party tools, those providers may collect and process data according to their own policies. We recommend reviewing any third-party privacy policies for details on their practices.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., Supabase) and only to the extent necessary.
• We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BSLN Tennis or others.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect your information. While we strive to safeguard your data, no system is completely secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. If you request deletion of your account and data, we will delete or anonymize your data unless retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Current status: the public-facing site uses Vercel Analytics, which may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to collect usage data.
Opt-out / choices: You may be able to manage analytics tracking through your browser settings or privacy tools. If you have questions about analytics or wish to opt out, please contact us at help@bsln.app.

9. Children under 13 / Junior Ladders

Our Service includes junior ladders for children under 13. Accounts for children under 13 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. By creating such an account, the parent or guardian provides consent for their child to use the Service.

• We only collect personal information necessary to provide the Service for junior players.
• Parents can review, update, or request deletion of their child’s information by contacting help@bsln.app.
• We do not share information about children under 13 with third parties for marketing purposes.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we maintain about you. If you are a California resident, you have certain additional rights under California law. To exercise any rights, please contact us at the address below.

11. International Transfers

Our systems and service providers may be located in multiple countries. By using the Service you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection rules than your country of residence.
